First Things First: The Law

You'll be chuffed to know that crossbows are indeed legal in the UK, thanks to the Crossbows Act 1987. But hold your horses, there are a few rules to follow. You must be over 18, and it's illegal to carry one around in public without good reason. So, no wandering the streets like a medieval vigilante, okay?

Safety First, Fun Second

Now, safety's a big deal. You've got to have a valid firearms certificate to own a crossbow, and it's gotta be stored safely. But don't let that put you off. It's just like having a responsible attitude towards any powerful tool, really.

And guess what? You don't need a license to use one on private land, as long as you're not causing a nuisance or endangering anyone. So, you can let loose (safely, of course) in your back garden!
