Chase & Status at All Points East: A Rave-tastic Time!
Hey there, music lovers! Let me tell you about this totally awesome gig I caught at All Points East featuring none other than the legendary Chase & Status. If you're into your drum and bass, then you know these guys are the real deal. They've been around since forever, and they still know how to get a crowd jumping like there's no tomorrow.
Setting the Stage
So, there I was, standing in the middle of Victoria Park, surrounded by thousands of fellow ravers, all waiting for the main event. The sun was starting to set, casting that golden glow over the crowd, and the atmosphere was electric. You could feel the anticipation buzzing through the air like a swarm of bees at a picnic.
Before we dive into the madness that was Chase & Status' set, let me give a quick shoutout to the supporting acts. They were all fire, but special mention goes to Maverick Sabre. That guy's voice is like liquid gold, and his performance was a beautiful contrast to the heavier beats that were about to follow.

And Then They Took the Stage
And then, like a pair of drum and bass rockstars emerging from a smoke machine (because of course, there was a smoke machine), Chase and Status took to the stage. The crowd went wild. I mean, wild. It was like someone had just announced free pizza for life. The cheers were deafening, and I'm pretty sure I saw a few people levitate with excitement.
They kicked off with "Time" - you know, that track that always makes you feel like you're in a high-speed car chase, even if you're just standing still. The bass was so heavy, it was like being punched in the chest by a velvet glove. In a good way, obviously. None of us were complaining.

An Hour of Non-Stop Madness
What followed was an hour of non-stop madness. They played all the classics - "No Problem", "Let You Go", "Eastern Jam" - you name it, they played it. The crowd was a writhing, sweaty mess of joy, singing along to every word, and throwing shapes like they were auditioning for a music video.
But it wasn't all about the old stuff. They dropped a few new tracks too, and let me tell you, the future is looking bright for Chase & Status fans. The new tunes had that same energy, that same raw power, that's made them one of the best drum and bass acts out there.

And then, just when we thought it couldn't get any better, they played "Killa". You know, that song that always makes you want to punch the air and shout "YEAH!" at the top of your lungs. Well, that's exactly what we all did. It was like a scene from a musical, but instead of singing "Do-Re-Mi", we were all shouting "YEAH!" in perfect harmony. Beautiful.
And That's a Wrap!
And just like that, it was over. The final beat of "Killa" faded away, and the crowd stood there, panting and grinning like a bunch of idiots. But we were happy idiots. We'd just spent an hour dancing our socks off to one of the best drum and bass acts in the game. What more could you ask for?
So, if you ever get the chance to catch Chase & Status live, do it. They're not just a band, they're an experience. And who knows, you might just find yourself levitating with excitement too. Until next time, keep dancing!
