Ever dreamt of getting a birthday card from a king? Well, one lucky lady just did! And guess what? It's her 100th birthday! Now that's what you call a royal celebration!

Meet the Centenarian

Meet Vera McKechnie, a spunky Scottish lady who's just hit the big one-oh-oh. She's seen two world wars, lived through 28 UK prime ministers, and even outlived the Queen Mother! Now, that's some serious life experience.

Vera's no stranger to royal attention either. She's received birthday messages from the Queen herself, but this time, it's a little different. This time, it's from the King!

From the King's Mouth

That's right, folks! King Charles III himself took the time to pen a sweet note to Vera. And get this, it wasn't just a quick scribble. It was a personalised message, complete with a hand-drawn crown! Now that's what you call a royal touch.

But here's where it gets even more interesting. You know how we all have those funny little quirks? Well, it turns out, King Charles has one too. He crossed his 't's! Yes, you heard it here first. The King of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland has a penmanship quirk just like you and me!

But here's where it gets even more fascinating. Vera's not just any centenarian. She's a supercentenarian! That's right, she's one of the oldest people in the world. And guess what? She's got no plans of slowing down anytime soon. This lady loves her daily glass of whisky and a good game of bingo. Now that's a centenarian we can all aspire to be!
