Meet Rene, the "Baron of Barter"

Rene Nezhoda, the charismatic star of Storage Wars, is a force to be reckoned with. Born in Iran, he's a true citizen of the world. But where did his journey begin?

Rene's family fled Iran during the revolution, and he spent his early years in Germany. Now, that's a story you can't find in a storage unit!

From Germany to the Golden State

When Rene was just a teenager, his family packed their bags and moved to California. Talk about a change of scenery!

California, with its sun-soaked beaches and Hollywood glitz, was a far cry from the cold streets of Germany. But Rene embraced the Golden State with open arms.

Rene's Rise to Fame

Before he was the "Baron of Barter," Rene was a humble pawn shop owner. He'd buy storage units, sell the good stuff, and pawn the rest. Not a bad gig, right?
