When Did Old Dominion Band Start

So, When Did Old Dominion Band Start, You Ask?

Well, grab a seat, let's dive into this musical journey together, yeah?

Let's Roll Back the Clock to 2003

Picture this: a group of friends, all with a shared love for music, decide to form a band in Nashville, Tennessee. No big plans, just a bunch of guys wanting to make some tunes and have a good time. That, my friends, is where our story begins.

Meet the Band

We've got Matthew Ramsey on lead vocals, Trevor Rosen on guitar and vocals, Brad Tursi on guitar and vocals, Geoff Sprung on drums, and the Whit Sellers on bass. Quite the lineup, huh?

From Garage to Stage

These guys started out like any other band, playing in garages, small bars, and college campuses. But they had something special, a sound that was all their own, and people started to take notice.

First Album, Here We Go!

In 2008, they released their first album, "Old Dominion." It was a mix of country, rock, and a dash of pop, a sound they'd come to be known for. But it was their second album, "Meat and Candy," that really got the party started.

2015 was their breakthrough year. Their single, "Break Up with Him,'' hit the top of the charts, and they were off to the races. They've been touring, releasing albums, and winning awards ever since.

Why Should You Care?

Well, aside from the fact that they're a super talented bunch, Old Dominion is proof that sometimes, all you need is a group of friends, a love for music, and a dream. They started out just wanting to have a good time, and look where they are now!
