When Did Delilah Start On The Radio

So, When Did Delilah First Grace Our Radios?

You know, I was driving home the other day, windows down, wind whipping through my hair (well, what's left of it), and I thought to myself, "Self, when did Delilah first start her radio gig?" I mean, her voice has been a part of our lives for so long, it's like trying to remember when you first learned to tie your shoes. It's just always been, you know?

Now, I'm not one to just leave things hanging, so I decided to do a little digging. Grab a coffee, make yourself comfortable, 'cause we're going on a journey through time. Or at least, a journey through my laptop's browser history.

Before the Mic

First things first, Delilah, whose real name is Delilah Rene (fancy, huh?), wasn't always the voice of love songs and heartfelt dedications. No, no, she started her radio career in the late 80s, working in various stations across the US. She was doing the morning show, the afternoon drive, you name it. But it wasn't until 1996 that she found her calling.

You see, Delilah was working at a station in Seattle when she was asked to fill in for the evening show. And let me tell you, folks, she filled it. She started playing love songs, taking dedications, and sharing stories from her own life. And just like that, Delilah's signature style was born.

From Seattle to the World

Word got around about this new evening show with the unique format. Before long, other stations were picking it up. By 2003, Delilah was syndicated nationally. And now, here we are, with Delilah on over 150 stations across the country. Isn't that something? From a local Seattle station to the hearts of millions of Americans.

So, there you have it. Delilah started her radio journey in the late 80s, but it was in 1996 that she truly found her voice. And isn't that a beautiful thing? A reminder that sometimes, the best things in life take a little time to blossom.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a dedication to send in. Something tells me Delilah's going to play it tonight. After all, she's got a way of making us all feel like we're her favorite.
