So, How Rich is Sal Khan of Khan Academy?
Ever wondered about the net worth of the guy who's making learning fun and free for millions? Let's chat about Sal Khan, the mastermind behind Khan Academy.
Who's Sal Khan, You Ask?
Well, Sal Khan is a dude who decided to teach his cousin math over the internet back in 2004. Little did he know, he'd end up creating a learning revolution! Today, Khan Academy offers over 65,000 videos and exercises on everything from math to art history, all for free.
So, How Much is All This Learning Worth?
As of 2021, Sal Khan's net worth is estimated to be around $100 million. But hold on, don't go thinking he's rolling in dough just yet. Most of that comes from the value of Khan Academy itself, not his personal bank account.

How Did He Make All That Dough?
Khan Academy is a non-profit, so Sal doesn't pocket any of the donations or grants they receive. Instead, he's been investing in the organization, making it bigger and better. In 2010, he even turned down a $2 million prize from the Gates Foundation because he thought it was more important to keep Khan Academy ad-free and accessible to everyone.
But He's Still a Millionaire, Right?
Yep, he sure is. In 2012, he sold his former company, Sudbury Education, for $10 million. He also has a few other investments and ventures under his belt. But remember, Sal's not in it for the money. He's all about making education accessible and fun for everyone.

What's His Secret to Success?
Sal's not your typical millionaire. He's a guy who followed his passion, created something amazing, and happened to make some money along the way. His secret? He loves learning and teaching, and he's not afraid to think outside the box. Oh, and he's pretty darn persistent too. It took him six years to make Khan Academy his full-time gig!
So, What's Next for Sal Khan?
Who knows? Maybe he'll teach us all how to speak Klingon or solve a Rubik's cube in record time. One thing's for sure, though - as long as there are curious minds out there, Sal Khan will be there to help them learn and grow.
