Ever found yourself singing along to "Summer Nights" or "Greased Lightnin'" and wondered, "Hey, how old were those actors when they were cruisin' down those sandy streets of Rydell High?" Well, buckle up, 'cause we're about to dive into the time machine and find out!
John Travolta - Danny Zuko
When the movie hit theaters in 1978, John Travolta was a cool 24 years old. That's right, Danny Zuko was practically a baby-faced heartthrob! To put that into perspective, if you were born the year "Grease" came out, you'd be old enough to vote by now. Crazy, huh?
Olivia Newton-John - Sandy Olsson
Now, you might think Sandy was the sweet, innocent one, but Olivia Newton-John was actually a bit older than John. When she was strumming her guitar and singing "Hopelessly Devoted," she was a mature 29 years old. That's like, what, five years older than Danny? Scandalous!

The Gang
Let's not forget the rest of the T-Birds and Pink Ladies. The oldest among them was 33-year-old Didi Conn, who played Frenchy. And the youngest? That would be 18-year-old Jeff Conaway, who played Kenickie. Talk about a mixed bag!
So, there you have it! The cast of "Grease" was a bunch of youngsters, really. I mean, can you imagine being in high school again, but with the wisdom and experience of, say, a 29-year-old Olivia Newton-John? Now that's a plot twist I'd like to see!
