How Old Was Sunny Suljic In Mid 90s

So, there I was, scrolling through Netflix the other day, and I stumbled upon "Mid90s". You know, that coming-of-age movie by Jonah Hill. I'd heard it was a bit of a gem, so I thought, why not? And boy, was I hooked from the get-go. Sunny Suljic, the kid playing Stevie, was just so... real. I mean, he's got this way of looking at the world that's just so... nineties kid, you know?

But then it got me thinking, how old was Sunny Suljic when they were filming "Mid90s"? I mean, the kid looks like he's, what, twelve? Thirteen, tops? But then again, in the movie, he's supposed to be thirteen, right? So, was he playing his own age? Or was he, like, some weirdly mature eight-year-old? (No offense to any eight-year-olds reading this, you're all awesome.)

Alright, let's rewind a bit. "Mid90s" was released in 2018. Sunny Suljic, our little Stevie, was born on August 10, 2005. So, when the movie came out, he was... thirteen. Boom! Just like his character. Now, that's some good casting, right?

But here's where it gets a bit tricky. The movie was actually filmed in 2017. So, when Sunny was acting out those scenes, he was... twelve. Yep, just a year younger than his character. I know, right? It's like they found the perfect little time capsule kid.

Now, you might be thinking, "Whoa, whoa, whoa. That's a bit young to be playing a thirteen-year-old." And you're right. But remember, Sunny was acting. He wasn't being thirteen, he was playing thirteen. And let me tell you, he nailed it. The kid's got some serious acting chops. I mean, have you seen "The House with a Clock in Its Walls"? He's got this range, you know?

Anyway, back to "Mid90s". Sunny Suljic was twelve when they were filming, but he turned thirteen just before the movie was released. So, when you're watching him skateboard and mouth off to his brother, just remember, he was probably thinking about his upcoming birthday instead of, you know, actual thirteen-year-old stuff.

But hey, who knows? Maybe Sunny was just a really mature twelve-year-old. I mean, the kid's got a pretty impressive IMDb page for someone who's still in his teens. Maybe he was just born with some serious wisdom beyond his years. Or maybe he's just a really good actor. Either way, he totally nailed the role of Stevie. And that's what matters, right?

So, there you have it. Sunny Suljic was twelve when they were filming "Mid90s". Isn't that something? I mean, the kid's got a whole career ahead of him, and he's already got a movie under his belt that's got critics raving. Not bad for a... well, for a twelve-year-old, right?

Anyway, I've gotta get back to Netflix. I've got a date with a movie that's probably not as good as "Mid90s", but hey, a girl can dream, right? Until next time, folks!
