How Old Was Harrison Ford Star Wars

So, you're curious about Harrison Ford's age when he first stepped into that galaxy far, far away, huh? Let's dive in, shall we?

Blasting Off in '77

Picture this: it's 1977, disco is king, and Harrison Ford is a 35-year-old actor, just starting to make a name for himself. He's already played a small role in American Graffiti, but he's still far from being a household name.

Then, along comes George Lucas with a script about a farm boy, a princess, and a hairy creature named Chewie. Ford auditioned for the role of Han Solo, and the rest, as they say, is Hollywood history.

From '77 to '80: The Original Trilogy

Ford filmed the original Star Wars trilogy between 1977 and 1980. During this time, he was:

• 35 to 38 years old for A New Hope (1977)
• 39 years old for The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
• 42 years old for Return of the Jedi (1983)

Can you imagine? Han Solo was practically a silver fox from the start!
