How Old Was Elle Fanning In Super 8

So, you're curious about Elle Fanning's age in the cult classic, Super 8, huh? Well, buckle up, my friend, because we're about to take a trip down memory lane, complete with jokes, exaggerations, and some surprising facts that'll make you say, "No way, Jose!"

Back to the Future...ish

First things first, let's set the scene. It's the summer of 2011, and J.J. Abrams has just blown our minds with his homage to '80s cinema, Super 8. The movie's got everything: a mysterious train crash, a monster on the loose, and a group of kids who are just trying to make a zombie film for their school's film festival.

Now, you might be thinking, "But Super 8 is set in the '70s! How can Elle Fanning be in it?" Well, my friend, that's the magic of cinema. We can make a movie set in the past, starring actors who were born in the future. It's like time travel, but with less DeLorean and more craft services.

Elle Who Now?

Alright, let's talk about the star of our show, Elle Fanning. Born on April 9, 1998, Elle is the younger sister of Dakota Fanning, who you might know from movies like I Am Sam and The Cat in the Hat. Now, I know what you're thinking, "But Elle looks so young in Super 8! She can't be that old!" And you're right, she does look young. But that's because she was young when she made the movie.

In fact, when Super 8 was released, Elle was a mere 13 years old. That's right, folks! She was just a baby, a baby with incredible acting chops and a killer '70s wardrobe. I mean, have you seen those bell-bottoms? They're to die for.

Age is Just a Number...ish

Now, you might be wondering, "How did they make a movie with a 13-year-old playing a character who's supposed to be 14?" Well, my friend, that's the magic of Hollywood. They took one look at Elle and said, "You know what? She's perfect for the role. And if anyone asks, we'll just say she's 14. Who's gonna know?"

And you know what? They were right. No one knew. Or if they did, they didn't care. Because Elle was amazing in the movie. She played Alice Dainard, the love interest of our young hero, Joe Lamb, played by Joel Courtney. And she did it with such charm and grace that you totally bought that she was a '70s teen.

Growing Up Fanning

So, what's Elle up to now? Well, she's all grown up, of course. She's starred in movies like The Neon Demon, All the Bright Places, and even played a young Princess Aurora in Maleficent. She's come a long way from her Super 8 days, that's for sure.

And as for the rest of the cast? Well, they've all grown up too. Joel Courtney is now a handsome young man with a impressive IMDb page. Ryan Lee, who played the explosives expert, Charles, is now a writer and director. And Riley Griffiths, who played the director of their zombie film, Charles' older brother, Cary, is still acting and making movies.

So, How Old Was Elle Fanning in Super 8?

Alright, alright, I'll tell you. Elle Fanning was 13 years old when Super 8 was released. But remember, she was playing a character who was supposed to be 14. So, in movie years, she was 14. Does that make sense? No? Well, neither does time travel, but we still love it.

And there you have it, folks. The story of Elle Fanning's age in Super 8. It's a tale of youth, talent, and the magic of cinema. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a date with a DeLorean. Until next time!
