How Old Is The Cast Of Harry Potter

Age is Just a Number, Right? A Stroll Through the Harry Potter Cast's Birthdays

Ever wondered how old your favorite Hogwarts students and professors are now? Let's grab a cup of tea (or butterbeer, if you've got it) and take a stroll down memory lane. Remember, we're talking about the main cast here, so no need to whip out your Time-Turner to catch 'em all.

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) - 33

Our beloved Boy Who Lived was born on July 23, 1989. That makes him a Leo, just like his on-screen nemesis, Draco Malfoy. Fun fact: Daniel was cast as Harry when he was just 11 years old. Talk about growing up in the spotlight!

Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) - 32

Emma, our brilliant and brave Hermione, celebrated her birthday on April 15, 1990. She's an Aries, known for their courage and determination - sounds like our favorite bookworm, doesn't it? Did you know Emma was cast at the age of 9? Talk about a child prodigy!

Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) - 34

Rupert, our lovable Ron, was born on August 24, 1988. That makes him a Virgo, which explains his practical and loyal nature, both on and off screen. Did you know Rupert was the only main cast member who wasn't discovered through an open audition? He was recommended by his teacher!

Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) - 35

Tom, our charmingly mischievous Draco, was born on September 22, 1987. That makes him a Virgo, too! Fun fact: Tom was the first of the main cast to be cast in the series. He was just 12 years old when he auditioned for the role of Draco.

Harry Potter Cast Then And Now

Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort) - 59

Ralph, our terrifying Lord Voldemort, was born on December 22, 1962. That makes him a Capricorn, known for their ambition and determination - perfect for playing the most powerful dark wizard of all time! Fun fact: Ralph was the oldest main cast member, and he was cast when he was 45 years old.

Maggie Smith (Professor McGonagall) - 87

Maggie, our stern yet fair Professor McGonagall, was born on December 28, 1934. That makes her a Capricorn, too! Fun fact: Maggie was the oldest actress to be cast in the series, and she was already a Dame of the British Empire when she joined the cast.

Alan Rickman (Severus Snape) - Would Have Been 76

Alan, our complex and enigmatic Severus Snape, was born on February 21, 1946. That makes him a Pisces, known for their empathy and intuition - perfect for playing a character with such a deep backstory. Sadly, Alan passed away in 2016, but his legacy lives on in the Harry Potter series.
