How Old Is Sharky From Beta Squad

Alright, gather 'round, folks! Let's dive into the deep end and talk about something that's been swimming around in the internet's collective consciousness: Sharky from Beta Squad. You know, that pixelated, finned wonder who's been making waves in our hearts and on our screens.

Now, you might be wondering, "How old is this digital darling?" Well, buckle up, 'cause we're about to take a trip through the annals of internet history to find out!

From the Depths of Reddit

Sharky's story begins in the vast ocean of the internet, more specifically, on the shores of Reddit. In the summer of 2018, a user by the name of BetaSquad shared a screenshot of their in-game character, a shark with a peculiar, almost human-like grin. Little did they know, they were about to start a phenomenon.

That grin, folks, was infectious. It spread like wildfire, jumping from Reddit to Twitter, then Tumblr, and back again. Sharky was everywhere, and the internet was hooked.

Meet the Squad

But who's this Beta Squad, you ask? They're a group of artists and developers who create games, often with a healthy dose of humor and a dash of the absurd. Sharky, it turns out, is one of their creations, a character from their game Sharky Shark.

Now, here's where things get a little tricky. See, Sharky Shark was released in 2017. But Sharky's rise to fame didn't happen until a year later. So, is Sharky one, or is Sharky two? Let's dive deeper.

Age is Just a Number... in Binary

In the digital world, age can be a bit fluid. Sharky, as a character, has been around since 2017. But Sharky, as a meme, as a cultural icon, only started making waves in 2018. So, in internet years, Sharky is... well, it's complicated.

But let's not get too hung up on the numbers. After all, in the grand scheme of things, what's a year or two when you're a shark with a grin that could outshine the Cheshire Cat?

Sharky's Impact

Sharky's age might be up for debate, but their impact is not. This finned phenomenon has inspired art, merchandise, even fan fiction. They've been featured in everything from YouTube videos to Twitter threads. They've even made it into the hallowed halls of the Oxford English Dictionary.

Who are the Beta Squad members? Names, profiles, and fun facts

That's right, folks. If you look up "Sharky" in the OED, you'll find an entry that reads: "A character from the video game Sharky Shark, who became an internet meme due to their distinctive grin." Now that's something to sink your teeth into!

The Future's So Bright, Sharky's Gotta Wear Shades

So, what's next for our scaly sensation? Who knows? The internet's a big place, full of twists and turns, ups and downs. But one thing's for sure: wherever Sharky goes, they're sure to leave a wave in their wake.

And hey, if you ever find yourself wondering about Sharky's age, just remember: they're as old as the internet itself. And isn't that a beautiful, terrifying thought?

Until next time, folks. Keep swimming, and keep grinning. Because, after all, life's a shark-eat-shark world out there. And Sharky wouldn't have it any other way.
