Robert Freeman, born on March 16, 1961, is a man of many talents. He's an actor, comedian, writer, and producer. But you probably know him best for his voice work in The Boondocks, right?

Now, let's do some math. It's 2023 as I write this, so Robert is... hold on to your hats... 62 years young! Yep, you heard it right. But don't let that fool you. This guy's got more energy than a room full of toddlers on espresso.

Growing Up Freeman

Robert was born and raised in California, which explains his laid-back, sunny disposition. He started his comedy career in the 90s, performing stand-up in clubs and on TV shows like Def Comedy Jam. He was a natural, and it wasn't long before he started landing roles in movies and TV shows.

But it was his work on The Boondocks that really put him on the map. He voiced Granddad Freeman, the wise, sometimes cranky, but always lovable patriarch of the Freeman family. And let's not forget Uncle Ruckus, the... well, let's just say he's a character.

Robert's not just a voice in a booth. He's a storyteller, a creator. He co-wrote and executive produced The Boondocks, bringing his unique perspective to the show. He's also written for other shows like The Bernie Mac Show and Everybody Hates Chris.

And if that wasn't enough, he's also a producer. He's worked on shows like Black Jesus and The Riches. This guy's got more irons in the fire than a blacksmith at a Renaissance fair!
