How Old Is Pike In Vox Machina

So, How Old Is Pike Truly?

Alright, gather 'round, folks! Let's dive into the magical world of Critical Role and tackle a question that's been tickling our brains: just how old is the dashing and daring Pike Trulestar from Vox Machina?

Now, before we get started, let's address the elephant in the room. Yes, Critical Role is a fantasy show, and yes, the characters are fictional. But hey, that's no reason not to have a little fun and indulge in some speculation, right?

Let's Talk About Time

In the world of Exandria, time works a little differently than it does here. The game uses a system where a year is roughly equivalent to a season in our world. So, when we talk about Pike's age, we're talking about her in-game age, not the time that's passed in the real world.

Now, let's rewind a bit. Pike joined Vox Machina in Campaign 1, Episode 36, "The Sun's Shadow, Part 1." At this point, the party had been adventuring together for about a year and a half, in-game. So, when we first met Pike, she was already a seasoned adventurer.

Age Is Just a Number, Right?

Here's where things get a bit tricky. Pike's exact age was never explicitly stated in the show. But, we can make some educated guesses based on the clues Matthew Mercer, the Dungeon Master, dropped along the way.

For instance, in Campaign 2, Episode 10, "The Climb," Mercer mentioned that Pike was in her "late teens, early 20s." This was a few months after she joined the party, so we can safely assume that Pike was around 17 or 18 when we first met her.

Now, let's do some math. By the time Campaign 2 wrapped up, about two years had passed in-game. If Pike was around 18 when she joined Vox Machina, that would make her roughly 20 by the end of Campaign 2.

Why Does It Matter?

You might be wondering, "Why does Pike's age even matter?" Well, aside from the obvious fun of speculating about our favorite characters, knowing Pike's age can give us insight into her character and her journey.

For example, Pike was one of the youngest members of Vox Machina. This could explain why she was so eager to prove herself and why she was sometimes a bit reckless. It also makes her growth and maturity over the course of the campaign all the more impressive.

So, How Old Is Pike?

Based on our calculations, Pike is likely around 20 years old. But remember, this is all just speculation. Matthew Mercer could drop a bombshell in a future campaign that changes everything!

But hey, that's part of the fun, right? The beauty of Critical Role is that it leaves room for interpretation and imagination. So, go ahead, make your own theories, and share them with your friends. After all, that's what makes this community so amazing.
