How Old Is Mr Piranha The Bad Guys

So, there I was, minding my own business at the local comic book store, when I stumbled upon this kid, couldn't have been more than ten, dressed up as Mr. Piranha from The Bad Guys. Now, I'm no expert on animated movies, but even I knew that Mr. Piranha was a relatively new character. So, I asked the kid, "Hey there, how old is Mr. Piranha, anyway?"

He looked at me like I'd grown a second head. "Dude," he said, "Mr. Piranha is, like, the newest bad guy. He's not even a year old yet!"

I felt like I'd just been served a big slice of humble pie. I mean, I knew I wasn't the target audience for these movies, but I didn't realize I was that far out of the loop. That got me thinking, though. How old is Mr. Piranha, really? And how do these animated movies even work, anyway?

Welcome to the World of Animated Movies

Alright, let's rewind a bit. Animated movies, as we know them today, have been around for a while. We're talking about the likes of Disney, Pixar, and DreamWorks, who've been churning out these masterpieces for decades. But how do they decide who the 'bad guys' are and when they should make an appearance?

Well, it turns out, it's not as simple as just drawing a character and saying, "Hey, this guy's the bad guy now." There's a whole process involved, from concept art to storyboarding, scripting, and finally, animation. And that process takes time. A lot of time.

So, How Old Is Mr. Piranha?

Now, let's get back to our friend Mr. Piranha. The Bad Guys, the movie he stars in, was released in April 2022. That means, as of writing this, he's just over a year old. But remember, he was in development long before that.

You see, animated movies often take years to make. For instance, Frozen, which was released in 2013, started development in 2008. That's five years of work, just for one movie! So, while Mr. Piranha might seem like a newcomer, he's probably been around in some form or another for a few years now.

But here's where it gets interesting. Even though Mr. Piranha is 'new' to us, the audience, he's not new to the world of The Bad Guys. In the movie's timeline, he's been around for who knows how long. It's all relative, isn't it?

Age is Just a Number, Folks

You know, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that age doesn't really matter in the world of animated movies. I mean, think about it. Mickey Mouse is over 90 years old, but he's still running around, being his cheerful self. And let's not forget about the Toy Story gang. They've been around since 1995, but they're still going strong, with the latest installment, Lightyear, just hitting theaters.

So, next time you're watching an animated movie, remember, age is just a number. These characters are timeless, and they'll be around long after we're gone. And who knows? Maybe one day, Mr. Piranha will be as old as Mickey, and we'll all be reminiscing about the good old days when he was just a newcomer.

But for now, let's just enjoy the show. After all, isn't that what movies are all about?
