How Old Is James Young From Styx

Ever found yourself belting out "Come Sail Away" in the shower, wondering about the guy behind that iconic voice? I'm talking about James Young, the lead guitarist and one of the lead vocalists of Styx. You might be curious, "How old is this rock legend?" Let's dive in and find out, shall we?

So, James, how old are you?

As of 2023, James Young is 75 years young. Born on November 14, 1949, he's been rocking our world for quite some time now. But you know what they say, "Age is just a number," and James is a testament to that.

Now, let's put that into perspective.

Imagine a nice, tall glass of wine. If James were that wine, he'd be a vintage, a fine one at that. He's seen the music industry evolve, from vinyl records to streaming platforms. He's like a wise old oak tree in a forest of saplings, standing tall and proud.

Think about it, when James was just starting his musical journey, the Beatles were still together, and the Summer of Love was in full swing. Now, he's still out there, rocking stages, and making new music. That's what I call timeless.

But wait, how does he do it?

You might be wondering, "What's his secret? How does he keep that energy up?" Well, folks, it's all about passion. James loves what he does, and that love keeps him going. It's like that old saying, "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life."

Plus, he takes care of himself. He's into yoga, meditation, and healthy eating. You know, the usual rockstar stuff. wink He's like a fine wine, aging like a boss because he takes care of himself.

And the music? It's ageless too.

Styx's music has stood the test of time. "Grand Illusion," "Lady," "Come Sail Away" - these songs are like old friends, always there to make us feel good. They're like a comfy pair of jeans, they never go out of style.

James and Styx have been through it all - the highs, the lows, the lineup changes, the industry shifts. But they're still here, still making music, still touring. That's something to celebrate, isn't it?

So, what's next for James Young?

Well, he's not slowing down anytime soon. Styx is still touring, still making new music. They've got a new album in the works, and they're as excited about it as a kid on Christmas morning. James is a living, breathing example of "You're never too old to rock 'n' roll."

So, the next time you're singing along to "Mr. Roboto," remember, that's James Young, the 75-year-old rockstar, belting it out with you. Isn't that something special?
