How Old Is Homelander In Season 1

So, I was binge-watching The Boys the other day, and I found myself wondering, "Just how old is Homelander, anyway?" I mean, the guy's been around for what feels like forever, but is he really that ancient? Let's dive in, shall we?

Age is just a number, right?

Well, not exactly. Especially when we're talking about superheroes. You see, Homelander, our beloved (sarcasm intended) leader of The Seven, was born in 1935. That's right, folks, he's older than your grandma's favorite rocking chair. But wait, it gets better (or worse, depending on how you look at it).

Homelander was created by Vought International's Compound V, which, as we all know, has some... interesting side effects. One of those is that it slows down the aging process. A lot. So, while the rest of us are busy getting wrinkles and gray hair, Homelander is over here looking like he's in his 30s. Isn't that just fab?

But what about his powers?

You might be thinking, "Okay, so he's old. But how does that affect his powers?" Well, here's the thing: Compound V doesn't just slow down aging, it also enhances physical abilities. So, Homelander's strength, speed, and all those other superpowers of his? They're still going strong, just like him.

But here's where it gets tricky. We don't know exactly how much Compound V affects the aging process. We know it slows it down, but by how much? Is Homelander aging at all? These are the kinds of questions that keep me up at night, folks. Or maybe it's just the coffee. Who knows?

The Boys: Everything We Know About Homelander's Origins

So, how old is he in Season 1?

Alright, let's get to the point. In Season 1 of The Boys, Homelander is 84 years old. Yes, you read that right. Eighty-four. He's older than the Eiffel Tower. But you'd never guess it, would you? That's the power of Compound V for you.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But wait, if he's been around since the 1930s, why doesn't anyone recognize him?" Well, that's where his little 'powers' come in handy. He can change his appearance, remember? So, he's been able to keep his true age a secret. Until now, of course. Because, hey, we're all friends here, right?

Final thoughts

So there you have it, folks. Homelander is 84 years old in Season 1 of The Boys. Isn't that just... charming? I don't know about you, but I find it a little unsettling. I mean, the guy's old enough to be my great-grandfather. But hey, at least he looks good for his age, right?

Anyway, that's enough about Homelander's age. I've got some wrinkle cream calling my name. Until next time, folks. Stay curious!
