Let's Time-Travel, Sheldon-Style

First things first, we need to understand that 'Young Sheldon' is set in the early '90s, when our favorite genius is just a young whippersnapper. Now, if you're a die-hard Sheldon fan, you might remember that in 'The Big Bang Theory,' adult Sheldon was born on February 26, 1989. So, let's do some math!

In the first episode of 'Young Sheldon,' our little prodigy is 9 years old. Now, if you subtract 9 from 1989, you get... drumroll please... 1980! That's right, folks! 'Young Sheldon' is set in the year 1980.

Now, About Georgie...

Georgie, Sheldon's older brother, is a bit of a mystery when it comes to his age. We don't get a specific birthdate for him in either show. But, we can make an educated guess!

In 'Young Sheldon,' Georgie is a teenager, while Sheldon is just a kid. Now, let's think about the timeline. If Sheldon is 9 in 1980, and Georgie is a few years older, we can estimate that Georgie is around 14 or 15 in the first season.
