How Old Is Flynn Rider In Tangled

Alright, gather 'round, folks. We're about to dive into a tale as old as time, or at least as old as the Disney animated classic, Tangled. You know, that charming flick with the long-haired heroine, a horse with a knack for comedy, and a dashing thief with a heart of gold. Today, we're gonna chat about the age of our beloved Flynn Rider. Now, grab a snack, get comfy, and let's embark on this not-so-serious journey.

So, How Old Is This Guy?

First things first, let's address the elephant in the room. No, Flynn Rider isn't a century-old like some fairy tale characters we know (ahem, Sleeping Beauty). He's a relatively young fella, but pinning down his exact age is about as easy as trying to catch Rapunzel's hair in a jar.

You see, Disney doesn't exactly hand out birth certificates with their animated films. We're left to piece together clues like a real-life detective. So, let's put on our thinking caps and dive into the evidence.

Clue #1: The Timeline

Tangled is set around the same time as the original Rapunzel fairy tale, which was first published in the early 1800s. However, the film's aesthetic and technology are more reminiscent of the late 18th to early 19th century. So, we're looking at a time period where calculators were nonexistent, and the only "app" you had was an apple in your pocket.

Now, let's consider Flynn's lifestyle. He's a wanted man, living on the run, pulling off heists, and charming the pants off every damsel he meets. This isn't exactly a 9-to-5 gig. It's a high-stakes, high-risk lifestyle that requires a certain level of experience and maturity.

Clue #2: The Wisdom Teeth

Remember when Flynn gets knocked out by a frying pan (don't ask, it's a long story)? Well, in that brief moment of unconsciousness, we get a glimpse of his wisdom teeth. Now, I'm no dentist, but I'm pretty sure wisdom teeth don't just pop up overnight. They take time, and usually, they appear in your late teens or early twenties.

What Is Flynn Rider

So, if we're going by dental records alone, Flynn is likely in his late teens or early twenties. But remember, this is just a theory. A theory that's probably more reliable than some of the conspiracy theories floating around the internet.

Clue #3: The Life Experience

Flynn might be a thief, but he's no rookie. He's got a certain swagger, a certain je ne sais quoi that comes with experience. He's seen things, done things, and he's not afraid to share his wisdom with the world. Or at least, with Rapunzel.

Now, I don't know about you, but I didn't acquire that level of confidence and experience until my late twenties. And even then, I was still figuring things out. So, if we're going by life experience alone, Flynn is likely in his late twenties or early thirties.

So, What's the Verdict?

After much consideration, detective work, and a healthy dose of speculation, I'd say Flynn Rider is likely in his late twenties. He's old enough to have some life experience under his belt, but young enough to still be charming and full of energy. Plus, it fits with the timeline and his wisdom teeth.

But remember, this is all just a guess. Disney hasn't confirmed Flynn's age, and they probably never will. After all, age is just a number, and in the world of animation, characters can be any age they want to be.

So, the next time you watch Tangled, take a moment to appreciate Flynn Rider for who he is, not how old he is. Because at the end of the day, what really matters is the story he tells, the adventures he has, and the love he shares with Rapunzel. And isn't that what we're all chasing, no matter what our age?
