How Old Is Angel From Hazbin Hotel

So, I was binge-watching "Hazbin Hotel" the other day, you know, the animated series that's got everyone talking about its unique blend of hellish humor and heartwarming stories. I was on episode 3, "The Cocksure Witch," and there's this scene where Angel, the protagonist, is having a chat with Charlie. Charlie asks, "How old are you, anyway?" And Angel replies, "I'm 24, but I've been dead for 100 years." Now, I've seen the show a couple of times, but this time, it hit me. How old is Angel really?

Angel's Age: A Timeline

Let's dive into this, shall we? Angel, full name Angel Dust, was born in 1880. That's right, she's a late 19th-century gal. She lived her human life in the late Victorian era, which is fascinating in itself, but that's a story for another time. Now, she was turned into a demon in 1890, at the age of 10. So, she's been a demon for 130 years. But wait, there's more!

Angel died in 1920, at the age of 40. So, she's been dead for 101 years. But here's where it gets tricky. In hell, time doesn't flow the same way as it does on Earth. A day in hell is like a year on Earth. So, Angel has been in hell for 101 years, but on Earth, it's only been a year since her death. Confused yet? Let me simplify.

Angel's Age in Earth Years

Angel was born in 1880, died in 1920, and has been in hell for 101 years. But since a day in hell is like a year on Earth, in Earth years, Angel is 121 years old. But wait, we're not done yet. In the show, it's been a year since her death, so in Earth years, Angel is 122 years old. Isn't time travel fun?

Now, you might be thinking, "But what about the 24 years she mentioned?" Well, that's her demon age. When she was turned into a demon at 10, her age reset to 0. So, she's been a demon for 24 years. It's like when you start a new job and they ask for your age, but you only count the years since you started working. You know what I mean?

Why Does It Matter?

You might be wondering, why does Angel's age matter? Well, it doesn't, really. It's just a fun fact to know. But it does give us a glimpse into her past and the world she came from. It also highlights the unique concept of time in the "Hazbin Hotel" universe. Plus, it's always fascinating to think about how old our favorite characters are, isn't it?

So, there you have it. Angel from "Hazbin Hotel" is 122 years old in Earth years. Isn't that something? Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some binge-watching to do. Until next time, folks!
