How Much Does Wicked Tuna Cast Make

So, you're curious about how much the Wicked Tuna cast makes, huh? Let's grab a coffee and dive in, shall we?

First Things First: The Captains

Now, these guys are the big fish in the pond. They've got years of experience under their belts and their own boats to run. The Wicked Tuna captains can make anywhere from $50,000 to over $200,000 per season, depending on how many tuna they catch and sell.

Take TJ Ott from the Hot Tuna, for instance. He's been on the show since the beginning and has consistently brought in some of the biggest hauls. Rumor has it, he's one of the highest-paid captains on the show.

Meet the Mates

Next up, we've got the mates. They're the right-hand men (and women) to the captains, helping with everything from fishing to boat maintenance. Their salaries vary, but they can make anywhere from $20,000 to $60,000 per season.

Take Paul Hebert from the Wicked Pissah. He's been a mate on the show for years and has become quite the fan favorite. His salary? Well, that's a tightly kept secret, but it's safe to say he's doing alright for himself.

And Then There's the Rest of the Crew

The rest of the crew - the deckhands and the apprentices - they make a bit less. We're talking around $10,000 to $30,000 per season. It's not easy work, that's for sure, but it's all part of the adventure, right?

Now, you might be wondering, "How do they make all that money?" Well, it's not just about the TV show. The captains and their crews also make money from selling the tuna they catch. A big bluefin can fetch upwards of $20,000 at auction.

But Here's the Thing...

It's not all sunshine and roses out there on the high seas. Fishing is tough, dangerous work. The crew members are away from home for months at a time, and there's no guarantee they'll make a big catch each day.

And then there's the drama. Oh, the drama. If you've ever watched an episode of Wicked Tuna, you know that these fishermen can be as competitive as they are colorful. It's not uncommon for tempers to flare and words to be exchanged.

But at the end of the day, it's all about the love of the game. These fishermen wouldn't trade their lives on the water for anything. And who knows? Maybe one day, you'll be sipping your coffee and watching them on TV, thinking, "Hey, I could do that."
